About Amanda
Amanda has spent tens of thousands of hours in classrooms as a teacher and volunteer. After years of success in business, she obtained her teaching license in 2019 and she has volunteered on PTAs, PTOs, and is serving on the district accountability committee focusing on improving education opportunities for all students. Amanda won the xxxx award for all of her service to our students, staff and community.
Amanda’s passion for high quality education started as a young child, watching her mom, a teacher, spend hours developing lesson plans, grading papers, and communicating with parents to ensure each of her students had great learning opportunities. Amanda is now eager to use her experience as a mother, child of a teacher, and an aerospace engineer to make our schools even better.
Opportunities
Real Education — Our kids need education that will prepare them to succeed in life. Amanda will make sure our schools stay focused on the key subjects and skills that will prepare our kids to succeed in the real world. This means keeping our sights on improving skills in reading, writing, science, and math.
Parent-Teacher Collaboration — Amanda will honor parents, teachers, and students’ perspectives and create a more collaborative and transparent approach to education. She will work to unite our school community to improve outcomes for everyone.
Protect Your Tax Dollars — Amanda will use her business background to streamline education processes, eliminate waste, and cut funding to politically-motivated programs that do not serve our children’s best interests.
